When is the nutrition seminar?
The nutrition seminar is held either the first Tuesday, wed or Thurs of every camp at 5:30am or 7:00pm. Location details are provided in your evaluation session prior to camp.
Will I be sore sometimes?
Many boot campers feel some soreness for the first 2-3 days. After that, it is slight to moderate. It's all part of the process of improving your physical condition!
What kind of people go to camp?
You'll be inspired, encouraged, and motivated by other women, just like you, who are seriously committed to improving their health and fitness levels! Some of our campers are beginners wanting to jump-start their program, and some are veteran exercisers ready for a new challenge. Most of our campers have some history of exercise, but it's not required. Others are simply, just tired of the same old boring routines at noisy and crowded gyms wanting something new & different. Don't worry! We'll adjust your workout, so it's just right for you!
Remember, all fitness levels are accepted and encouraged!
How many people are in each camp?
This number usually varies depending on the season, time of year. There is no set number. It may be anywhere from 7-35.
What is a typical day like at boot camp?
We don't have typical days -- if you want the same routine day after day, then you would probably want to join a fitness center. You can expect a mixture of cardio exercises, some running (less than a mile), light weight-training, mat work, jumping rope, and sports-related games. Each day is designed to be fun, challenging and different, but never boring!
How soon will I see results?
Performance improvement can take place in as little as 3 days. Visual improvement can take from 2 to 4 weeks depending on your effort level. It's not uncommon to see as much as 3-5 pounds of weight loss after the first week. Remember, everyone is different! The more serious and commited you are the more results. Note: Every individual is different and will experience different results when participating in Atlanta Adventure Boot Camp. If you want to lose weight and are under 18, pregnant, nursing, following a diet recommended by a doctor, have health problems or want to lose more than 30 pounds, see a doctor before starting Atlanta Adventure Boot Camp.
What will I do after boot camp is over?
You will schedule your post-evaluation. You will be re-measured and re-tested. (Post-evaluations take about 20 minutes to complete.) Excited about your progress and success, you will probably choose to do what many (up to 80%) of our campers do-sign up for another boot camp! Consider making it a permanent and regular part of your workout regimen. It may be just what you need to keep you motivated and your exercise routine challenging.

What if I sign up for the 3-day plan and then want to do all 20 days of the camp?
This actually happens almost every time a person starts with 3 days per week. They have so much fun, they ask to do all the days. You will simply be prorated from the point you decide to join us for all the days.
What level is the class? Will I fit in?
Every class has every level of fitness represented in it, from marathon runners to people who have never worked out before in their lives. You go at your pace in this class, with an instructor encouraging you to push yourself, while, also, reminding you to listen to your body. You'll be surprised at how well you will fit in, as long as you come with a positive attitude and a willingness to work hard...for you!
Is there a refund policy?
If you are unable to attend camp due to circumstances out of your control, we can offer you a refund if you notify us prior to your session start date however we will charge a $60.00 cancellation fee. If we are notified after your session begins, we can only give you a credit towards another boot camp. This credit is nontransferable. There is no cash refund. This is not negotiable.
What if my alarm doesn't go off or I feel sick one day?
can I do a make-up class?
We do not have "make-up" classes. If you miss a class...you, simply, miss a class. However, except for unforeseen circumstances, we do expect and want you to work out everyday. That's how you get the best and quickest results! Besides, your campmates will be there pulling for you to show up every day. You don't want to let them down do you?
What do we do if it rains?
We will still have boot camp at our normal locations and times if it is just sprinkling or lightly raining. If it is a heavy rain (we will use our best judgement) or lightning. We'll keep you posted for any class rescheduled. For more information please contact us here.
What makes your program different than other fitness boot camps?
Atlanta Adventure Boot Camp is the answer! It’s not the traditional military boot camp with a lot of yelling and trampling through the mud. It is however, a challenging, energizing, & fun outdoor workout designed for women of all fitness levels, ages and sizes.
